Terms and Conditions

Welcome to PetikAh ("the App", "Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), operated under the domain petikah.com and bundle ID com.petikah.app. By creating an account, accessing, or using PetikAh in any capacity, you ("User") agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms apply to all users of the platform regardless of the role(s) registered under their account. By creating an account, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Eligibility
To use PetikAh you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age, or have parental or guardian consent if between 13–17 years old.
- Be legally capable of entering a binding contract.
- Not be prohibited from using the Platform under applicable laws of Mexico or any other jurisdiction.
- Provide accurate, truthful, and complete information during registration.
PetikAh reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that does not meet these requirements.
3. Account Registration and Security
3.1 Authentication Methods
PetikAh offers three sign-in methods: Google (OAuth), Facebook (OAuth), and email/password. By signing in via a third-party provider, you authorize PetikAh to access basic profile information (name, email, profile photo) from that provider in accordance with its own terms.
3.2 Account Credentials
You are solely responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- All activities that occur under your account.
- Promptly notifying PetikAh of any unauthorized access at support@petikah.com.
PetikAh will never ask for your password via email, chat, or any channel outside of the official login flow.
3.3 Multi-Role Accounts
PetikAh supports accounts holding multiple roles simultaneously. Switching between roles changes your active dashboard but does not affect data associated with other roles. You may add or remove roles at any time from your profile settings.
4. User Roles and Role-Specific Terms

4.1 Pet Owner
As a Pet Owner you may browse, book, and purchase services and products offered by other platform participants. You are responsible for the accuracy of your pet's profile information. PetikAh is not liable for outcomes resulting from incorrect pet information submitted by the owner.
4.2 Store Owner
Store Owners must ensure all listed products are legal, accurately described, and compliant with Mexican consumer protection law (Ley Federal de Protección al Consumidor). You agree to fulfill all confirmed orders in a timely manner. PetikAh may remove listings that violate these Terms without prior notice.
4.3 Veterinarian
Veterinarians must hold a valid professional license (Cédula Profesional) issued by the Dirección General de Profesiones. By registering as a Veterinarian, you represent that your license is current and in good standing. Professional advice given through the Platform does not replace in-person clinical evaluation.
4.4 Courier
Couriers accept delivery assignments on a per-order basis. By accepting an order, you agree to deliver the package safely, intact, and within the estimated time window. Couriers must comply with all applicable traffic and transportation laws. Couriers may not view order pricing or PawCoin balances associated with a delivery.
4.5 Shelter
Shelters may list animals available for adoption. All animals listed must be in the legal custody of the Shelter. Misrepresenting an animal's health or behavioral status is grounds for immediate account suspension.
4.6 Dog Walker
Dog Walkers agree to accept walk requests only when physically available to perform the service safely. You are responsible for the pet's wellbeing during the entire duration of the walk. Incidents must be reported to the Pet Owner and PetikAh immediately. Walk sessions are tracked and visible to the assigned Pet Owner in real time.
4.7 Pet Hotel
Pet Hotels must accurately configure their hosting capacity per species, pricing per night, check-in and check-out times, and availability. You are responsible for the safety, feeding, and welfare of all animals in your care. Overbooking or misrepresenting capacity constitutes a material breach of these Terms.
5. Payments and Currency
All transactions on PetikAh are processed in Mexican Peso (MXN) unless otherwise indicated. Payment processing is handled via Stripe or other integrated payment providers. By completing a purchase or booking, you authorize PetikAh to charge the payment method on file. Refund eligibility is determined by the service provider's cancellation policy and PetikAh's dispute resolution process. PetikAh charges a platform service fee on applicable transactions, disclosed at checkout.
6. PawCoins (In-App Currency)
PetikAh may offer PawCoins as an in-app rewards or loyalty currency. PawCoins have no cash value and may not be transferred, sold, or redeemed for currency. PetikAh reserves the right to modify, limit, or discontinue PawCoins at any time. PawCoin balances are not visible to Couriers during the delivery process.
7. Prohibited Conduct
All users, regardless of role, are prohibited from:
- Providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information during registration or in any listing.
- Using the Platform for any unlawful purpose under Mexican or international law.
- Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users or platform staff.
- Attempting to circumvent the Platform's payment system by transacting directly outside of PetikAh.
- Scraping, reverse-engineering, or otherwise extracting data from the Platform.
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions or bans.
- Uploading content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringes upon third-party intellectual property rights.
- Misrepresenting your role, qualifications, or credentials.
8. Privacy and Data
Your use of PetikAh is subject to our Privacy Policy, incorporated herein by reference. PetikAh collects and processes personal data including name, email, profile photo, location data (for Couriers and Dog Walkers), and device information in accordance with Mexico's LFPDPPP. Location data is collected only while the app is in use and only for roles where proximity-based matching is required.
9. Intellectual Property
The PetikAh name, logo, brand purple color (#c044ee), app design, and all original content are the exclusive property of PetikAh and its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from PetikAh's intellectual property without prior written consent.
By uploading content to the Platform (e.g., product photos, pet images, profile pictures), you grant PetikAh a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display and use such content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
PetikAh is a marketplace platform and does not directly provide veterinary, walking, boarding, courier, or retail services. PetikAh does not warrant the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by third-party users on the Platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PetikAh shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
- Actions or omissions of other users, including Couriers, Vets, Walkers, or Store Owners.
- Losses resulting from unauthorized access to your account due to your failure to secure credentials.
- Temporary unavailability of the Platform due to maintenance, outages, or technical failures.
11. Termination
PetikAh may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct deemed harmful to other users or the Platform. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Pending transactions, bookings, or deliveries must be completed or resolved before account closure is finalized. Roles may not be removed if they are the sole remaining role on an account; the account itself must be deleted instead.
12. Modifications to These Terms
PetikAh reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of PetikAh shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Mexico City (Ciudad de México), Mexico, which you irrevocably accept as having jurisdiction.
